Brachmacharya
Good Morning Sweet Yogis,
Hope you are enjoying this blessed day!
This week our spiritual sadhana is Brachmacharya (Walk with God), or literally abstinence. The invitation is to bring conscious intent of walking with God into your practice and life by abstaining from something that is distracting you on your path to God (Absolute Presence).
Only you know what that one thing is. It may be an attitude, a substance, a habit, a person, a desire, or any other distraction to the truth of your existence. In other words anything that enslaves you. The practice of Brachmacharya is an ethical behavior of self-discipline that offers us the opportunity to face our personal nemesis with presence, peace and patience. Do not be confused, the practice of Brachmachary is not a punishment or a sacrifice, but a joyful offering of your soul on the path to truth. As you begin this journey, this Walk with God, towards truth and enlightenment, let each footstep be a conscious choice that brings you joyfully closer to the light of LOVE with unconditional kindness and compassion.
Move with determination and conscious intent, compassionately allowing for the pitfalls and setbacks, by forgiving oneself 7 x 700 times a day. Each time bring yourself back to LOVE (the opposite of fear) and choose again.
Brachmacharya is a joyful ethical exercise on the path to God (Absolute Presence), not a dreadful sacrifice. Each step towards truth, however big or small, is a celebration of your personal Walk with God and a gift to your soul.
All my love Namaste Chrystal Rae
