The goal of the teacher is to show the student that they already know” – Richard Bach

My yogic journey began three years ago as part of a literal and figurative search for balance in my life. I had just learned how to meditate and came to yoga as the next logical step towards the consciousness I was striving for. What I came to find was a life-long path far more rewarding than what I had even begun to imagine. The practice of yoga truly is a way in which to quiet the mind and honor the body, and in the process it sparks a true sense self-awareness you didn’t even know you were searching for. It opens the heart, quiets the mind and soothes the soul – all while unveiling a path that leads to emotional balance, physical health and spiritual growth. Those yogi’s that accept the challenge of bringing this consciousness to their lives both on and off the mat experience a world with far more possibility and promise. I am truly grateful for the many gifts that yoga has brought to my life and my intention as a teacher is to bring this awareness to my students and guide them to a path they may not even know they are searching for.

I have set many goals for personal evolvement in my life – most of which take conscious effort to both practice and maintain. Yoga continues to provide me with the level of conscious awareness necessary to meet these goals and even the possibility of exceeding them. The Gaia Flow family is a very loving and compassionate group of yogi’s that share a passion for the yogic lifestyle – both practicing and teaching it – and I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a beautiful intention.

I graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and I currently work as a Sr. Copywriter and Product Marketing Strategist for JPMorgan Chase. I continue to meditate and look to one day bring the gift of transcendence to those around me by learning to teach the transcendental technique.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling and writing. I have written poetry for many years and often use it as a means of understanding my own thoughts and bringing clarity to the sometimes confusing situations that life may bring. I am also blessed to have some amazing friends and family that I enjoy spending time with as often as I can.

The goal of the teacher is to show the student that they already know. My intention is to bring the many amazing things I have learned throughout my journey thus far to my students and most importantly, to learn from them as well.

Namaste,
Meghan
