Hello Friends and Fam!
As some of you already know, I’ve embarked on a new adventure… and this time it’s not to NY for a pair of shoes :)
Every Wed and Sat, our group trains with Hike for Discovery, a team-in-training hike program benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). I, along with the other members of my team, have made a commitment to train and participate in an extensive and difficult hike in the Rocky Mountains this Sept. Our training consists of climbing flights of stairs and doing weekly hikes in different parts of Texas. My team, along with other Hike for Discovery teams from around the country, will travel to Colorado Sept. 6 to hike the Rocky Mountains.
I have joined alongside with my friend/business partner, Liz Goldreich, who actually recruited me for this season’s hike. True to our creative style, we have launched www.positivealtitude.org, a website devoted to chronicling our adventures. Follow us as we train each week in preparation for the big hike in September; read our blog, check out our photos, or make a donation as you follow our footsteps towards this great cause.
Hike for Discovery is about more than just having fun, however. We are participating in this event to raise money to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As such, we have made a commitment to raise $8,000 collectively. Please help us reach our goal and join us in supporting the LLS through your generous donations and passing on the message of hope to survivors and their families.
Hike on and don’t forget your Positive Altitude!
