What I love about yoga is that it allows me to go inside and find my own happiness, experience the love that exists inside me and the ever-present truth that is waiting to be unlocked. Yoga allows me to be my own teacher. I have learned to experience reality for what it is, reality- in the moment, always now. I have become a lover of “what is”.

My yoga journey began in 2009, not a day too soon or too late. I grew up an athlete, a natural with nearly everything I picked up, playing competitive tennis and softball. In my early 30’s, I came complete with all the old sports injuries that limited my flexibility. With yoga, I was immediately impressed by the athletics involved. For my first 2 years of practicing yoga, it was just that- an amazing workout. The effects that it has had on my physical body are remarkable. I have never before experienced such an all over strengthening and toning. And the amazing thing about yoga for fitness is that it is always changing and therefore you are always evolving.

Early in 2011, I had the opportunity to join the Gaia Flow teacher training program. It was here that my journey took me to the challenge of awakening in my practice, finding breath in each movement, and experiencing contentment. As my practice strengthens, I find myself, almost automatically, realizing peace. Joy has crawled into every corner of my mind and I look forward to sharing this light with anyone ready to learn.
