Yoga Instructor Stephanie WrightMy mother actually introduced me to yoga in 2003, when playing competitive tennis all my life finally felt like it had run its course. Although yoga was so different from any other workout I had experienced, I feel in love immediately. For the longest time, I was never able to put my finger on exactly why I would crave it but I continued to go when I could. Over the next several years, I found myself in various gyms and studios trying to find the best combination of cardio, weight training, etc to achieve the look and feel I wanted for myself – always thankful for the wonderful way yoga made me feel but still only viewing the practice as a small piece of this puzzle.

In 2008, feeling like I’d hit yet another stagnant point in my fitness, health…life, and craving my next challenge, I found Gaia Flow Yoga. WOW!! Thanks to Chrystal, Andres and the team of gifted instructors, it finally clicked for me that yoga is a lifestyle, not simply a fitness trend. Once I embraced the way yoga teaches you to synchronize your breath, body & intention - my world completely changed. I realized it was the science of this ancient practice that left my body craving it all these years, but it was not until the Gaia Flow family helped me really explore all the facets of the practice did I truly understand the effects it could have. I grew to know myself better, and continue to learn, because I finally made the connection that every breath I take on my mat is building and improving the person I am off the mat. And I haven’t looked back! Oh, and I’m now in the best shape of my life which is a great perk.

Upon completing the teacher certification course and continuing to work on my practice, my friends joke that I can’t go without telling everyone I meet about my experience and the way yoga has changed my life. And it’s true! I’m fully committed to Gaia Flow’s mission to change the world one yogi at a time and look forward to seeing you on the mat!
