“Teacher Training with Gaia Flow Yoga has, undoubtedly, been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I signed up for training not knowing what to expect, after all, I was brand new to yoga. I knew that I wanted to eventually teach, but I had no idea how Teacher Training would transform my life in so many different aspects. When we started, I barely knew the difference between Warrior 1 and Warrior 2. And Now ? I am able to do the poses, inversions, and arm balances! I have always been athletic but I am truly in the best shape of my life. But GFY has also taught me that yoga is so much more than just poses. We learned about the spiritual side of yoga, the importance of breath, understanding human anatomy, learning about nutrition and taking care of your body and so much more. Andres and Chrystal were both so helpful and amazing teachers. One aspect of training that has really stuck with me is that they gave us so many tips on how to go from being an “ordinary” yoga instructor to being an “extraordinary” yoga instructor. The knowledge is transforming and I plan on incorporating all of the priceless information they gave us into my own practice. The girls that I have spent the last 10 weeks with have become my “yogi sisters” and I love them all so much! I look forward to continuing my yoga journey and am so excited to be a part of this loving, top-notch studio. I love my Gaia Flow family!”

“When I walked into my first day of Gaia Flow Yoga Teacher Training and found many faces that looked like mine. A little scared, somewhat intimidated by what they signed up for and a lot of love. I learned that all of us were there for similar reasons…to deepen our practice, to help others and to continue our own journey. The introductions were interesting to say the least and mine even more so since I could only seem to cry through it. I tried to contain my composure but something needed to get out and it picked that moment to release itself.
My tears were received with love by each of the new yogis. They later came up to me and offered their support and stated they too had similar stories. I learned that it is okay to be vulnerable. I was not intending to be vulnerable but when I started to speak about why I chose to be in teacher training my heart opened up and out poured words and tears that told my story; my story that no longer had a hold on me; my story that began to fade to the background. I was being set free.
Over the course of the 200 hour program and ten weeks with my beloved friends and yogis my life changed. I shifted from fear and caution to love and truth. My days self-corrected from angst and frustration to resist nothing. Without fear what could I do? It was a question that popped into my head one day and I realized that I could probably do anything. Wow…that seemed powerful.
Then I found a headstand, a crow pose and scissor lifts. I could do anything…at least more than I ever thought I could. It was empowering.
The course is over but my life has just begun. I have truly met myself for the first time thanks to yoga, the philosophy and Gaia Flow. My new love has fulfilled me in ways that I cannot fully explain but only feel. My heart if full, my life is full and my mind is at peace. My thoughts no longer hold the key to my actions it only processes the data in which I choose to process. My soul is what moves me through each moment at the speed of grace.
Thank you to Andres and Chrystal for your love and light.
Thank you to my new family of yogis for your lifelong friendship. I will truly miss our Saturday and Sunday sessions.
I honor the place in you were we are all one…Namaste. ”

“I didn’t realize I was looking for Gaia Flow Yoga until I had found it. I felt such a relief, such an emotional release at the end of my first class that I knew that I was in for a new adventure. I had studied Eastern philosophy in the Western hemisphere, Western philosophy in the Eastern hemisphere, and everything between but hadn’t found my home between the two until I walked in the door at this studio. At Gaia Flow Yoga, I have learned that it is okay to be myself, while striving to be something better.
In every class, I have consistently found reason and motivation to be a better version of myself. That’s why I took the plunge and signed up for Gaia Flow Yoga’s teacher training program. To be honest, finances are not my strong suit, and it was a bit of a leap of faith to sign up. But every bone in my body told me to do it, and I’m so glad I did. Even if I never teach another day of yoga in my life, I have learned tools and developed skills in the past ten weeks that have made me an exponentially better and more powerful person, undoubtedly manifesting in the workplace, my personal relationships, and everything in between. I am so grateful that I have found Gaia Flow Yoga, that I can continue to practice here, that they are my family. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this sanctuary of personal growth and love.”

The practice of yoga and the overall benefits are indescribable. Yoga has become a solid foundation in my life and is ever changing for me. Every time I step on my mat, I feel extremely grounded, present and so at peace with every second that has led up to that moment. Since finding yoga, my life has blossomed, strengthened and taught me to find peace, contentment and balance within. It has allowed for the personal growth and the spiritual connection to surface in my life journey. I will be forever grateful for Gaia Flow Yoga, the knowledge and love that they haveshared with me to make me a better yogi and human being. “Illuminated emancipation, freedom, unalloyed and untainted bliss await you, but you have to choose to embark on the Inward Journey to discover it.” B.K.S. “Gaia Flow Yoga teacher training helped me realize a dream of mine to become a yoga teacher. The principles and practice foundation that I gained in the training will help expand my yoga practice and enable me to guide others to connecting with themselves on the mat.”

“The 200 hr teacher training course offered by Gaia Flow Yoga has increased my abilities in yoga to things that I thought I would never be able to do. The class opened my eyes to bandhas, nadis, straight lines of energy, the eight limbs of yoga (before this I barely knew the yamas and niyamas), and the correct positions of asanas. This course gave me multiple ideas for different vinayasa flows. All of the information given was put into a sensible and easy to understand way and then was directly applied giving us, the teacher trainees, wisdom behind each concept. The course allowed each participant to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.”

“Enrolling in Gaia Flow teacher training was one of the best decisions I ever made. It taught me so much about me and led me to a higher path of awareness in my practice and in my life. Most importantly however, Gaia’s vigorous training program gave me the strength and knowledge I needed to graduate from the program already a powerful teacher.”

“To say that the Gaia Flow Yoga RYT200 training was life changing would be an understatement. Going through this program delivered on all the objectives that I hoped it would. It deepened my practice by increasing my understanding of asanas, breath and meditation – I now have the tools to enjoy my yoga journey both on and off the mat. I strongly recommend this training and feel so grateful for having the opportunity to learn yoga from two wonderful mentors, Chrystal Rae Almeida & Andres Illera.”

I am so grateful to have found Gaia Flow (Chrystal & Andres). In the past, I bounced from studioto studio trying to find the right place for me. Gaia Flow is welcoming, friendly, they invite you to take your own practice…they remind you of ‘no judgment, no ego’ which is wonderful because it doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a pro. Now my body craves it and I look forward to going several times a week. Gaia Flow is a positive place to get a total mind and body workout.

Gaia Flow Yoga teacher training was an amazing experience. Not only did I deepen my practice on all levels, physically and spiritually, I also developed the knowledge, skills and confidence to share yoga with others. It didn’t hurt that I was able to travel the journey with 22 other amazing yogis. Thanks Chrystal and Andres!

I truly feel Gaia Flow Yoga has been a life saver and definitely a life prolonger. My experience in Gaia Flow Teacher Training is hard to put into words. But if I could choose just one it would be AMAZING! Being very new to yoga I somewhat joined the Teacher Training a bit innocent and quite naive to what I was actually taking on. But throughout all the hours, sweat, studying, & missed weekends, Gaia Flow Yoga, Chrystal & Andreas have changed my life. I have been a runner since I was 14 and always been active and “On the Go”. With my profession being in personal training and pilates instruction, I am always on my feet, always moving. I was beginning to see my body break down. I had several lower back issues, feet issues and overall tightness and lack of flexibility. Although these issues will probably always be part of my life, Gaia Flow Yoga and teacher training has dramatically reduced the overall pain and tightness that my body was feeling. Through Gaia Flow Teacher Training I also have been enlightened to a whole new way of living and connecting with everything and everyone around me. Peace, living in the moment, forgiveness, acceptance, love, all of these are now part of my daily thought process and journey. Gaia Flow Yoga is now home and Chrystal and Andreas are now close friends. I look forward to continuing my learning, growth, development, enlightenment and life being centered around all that I have learned from Gaia Flow Yoga. The education and expertise that Chrystal and Andreas bring is unsurpassed and irreplaceable. I am eternally thankful for Gaia Flow Yoga, Chrystal and Andreas for changing my life and adding so much to my future. \
Namaste!

The Gaia Flow Yoga teacher training has been a catalytic spiritual experience. With the guidance of it’s remarkable teachers Chrystal Rae and Andres Illera and it’s wonderful variety of sometimes wild, wacky, powerful yogi students, we created a supportive and loving environment which helped us beyond measure to meet the demanding and intensive learning. The teachings in themselves are highly appreciated. After training for 8 weeks, when I practiced the methods taught in a gym one day the gym owner asked if I was a teacher. I explained I was a trainee and he even asked me to speak to him after training was over to discuss the possibility of giving classes. This guy was six foot four and had biceps the size of my head and he gym housed facilities for people training for football, indoor grass field included. This attests to the wide appeal and power of the Gaia Flow Yoga method. I would recommend aspiring teachers to this course without hesitation.

Gaia Flow Yoga 200 hour Teacher Training:
I always knew there was more to yoga than just doing the poses and Gaia Flow Yoga proved it. I wanted to know why I felt so calm and peaceful after such intensive yoga classes – something that didn’t happen after gym workouts or other intensive activities. That’s when I signed up for Teacher Training. In the training we not only learned more about yoga and its multiple branches, but we got to experience everything with the teachers and students. It was the most wonderful experience I’ve had! And the most wonderful people I’ve ever met! I thank the Universe for Chrystal and Andres. They are changing the world out there, they certainly changed me and it’s wonderful!

I am so fortunate to have found Gaia Flow Yoga and further my path of practice by completing the Spring 2011 teacher training program. The 3 fundamentals of GFY, breath, poses, and meditation are a formula for understanding the true intention of yoga.
The structure of the class provides an in depth look at the mechanics of the body both physically and spiritually. While it is challenging, it is non-competitive.
Chrystal and Andres are amazing teachers whose care and attention to their students reflects in all aspects of the journey. I am forever grateful for the time spent with Gaia Flow Yoga and I look forward to giving back what I have learned as a teacher with GFY.
